On Thursday I get to go visit my beautiful cousin Amy and see her family. She was like a sister to me growing up, and I am just so excited. There were five of us girl cousins pretty close together, and Amy, being the oldest, was always the ringleader. She led us in our never-ending quests to build the best forts in Grandma and Grandpa's woods, and she would choreograph dance numbers for us to perform. She played her new tapes for me, and I wanted to be just like her! I was always jealous of how cool she was, with her amazing long brown hair. She's funny, too-- she can always make me laugh. It has been hard to get together these last several years, so I am really looking forward to Thursday. |
This cousin J is a bit older-- he just turned the ripe old age of one and is already walking up a storm. Here he is way back when he was 4 months old... I tried to give Hendrik a pacifier so they could look more alike, but H only really likes the paci if it has frosting on it. Don't ask how we know. We love you, J! |
The newest addition. Beautiful A was born on June 1 to Mark & Crystal-- they are so happy to have this precious little girl! We can't wait to meet her. I thought we'd go for the thematic connection here. Even though his cousins are far away, I hope Hendrik has the chance to be buddies with them and build forts together at Grandma & Grandpa's someday. |
